Toronto, Ontario, Canada and Aliso Viejo, California – December 20th, 2010 – Animated Media Inc. (AMI) and DDEi, a leading In-flight Entertainment and Communications (IFEC) engineering consulting firm, are pleased to announce a collaborative relationship to develop and release a new, cross-platform IFEC solution supporting Flash-based content (UI, animations, video) for rich multimedia user experiences enabling both aircraft platforms and interconnectivity with the latest smart phones, tablets and other portable devices.  As part of the joint venture, DDEi will represent AMI’s core technology as their exclusive IFEC market Value-Added Reseller (VAR).

The DDEi/AMI joint venture and IFEC product will enable customers to create high performance, feature-rich, interactive applications based on and using Commercial-of-the-Shelf (COTS) tools & technology.  In addition to transforming passenger (PAX) experience possibilities, this innovative solution will deliver substantial improvements in the quality, performance and efficiency of IFEC systems as well as realize dramatic cost savings in the IFEC user experience development life-cycle, operational supply chain and support.
